  1. All the Best !! The bar of expectations is set pretty high and i am sure you will jump even higher :P

    • My Sergei Bubka avatar always goes missing when I need it !!! thanks shoOOonya.

  2. this is easily among the best ideas i have come across in recent times. the beauty of it lies in its simplicity which makes me wonder why someone had not thought of it before. when we think of preserving history, memories, culture.. the definers of our life and times, comic as a medium is rarely used despite the fact this is perhaps one of the very few common threads that we all relate to and that would bind us all. rarely would there be an individual who has not been touched by a comic. to take that medium and apply it to something as fascinating as this is a fantastic idea. the applications and possibilities are mind boggling and i wish you realise them all. great success and many milestones to you with this inspiring project!

    • @surekhapillai: I couldn’t have come anywhere close to describing the relevance of comics as a medium as you have. Thanks for that and for the good wishes :-)

  3. Bookmarked!!! Will be awaiting your strips as much as I await xkcd, pws, and the rest! :-) All the very best to you…

    • Thanks a lot..You can also subscribe to a feed, that way, you will know when a comic is uploaded :-)

  4. This is simply amazing. The best part of reading our own history in comics is that one can just visualise everything as if they were watching those incidents in a movie — only in a faster pace. You cannot make a movie about all the major historic events starting from three decades back. But comics have no such limitations… and it was about time someone thought of doing it, and then you did. Best of luck with your new venture.

BTW, 1983 happens to be my birth year also :)

    • So that makes 1983 a bit more special :-) Thanks!
“you cannot make a movie about all the major historic events”…”but comics have no such limitations” – hmm I never thought … but now that you put it like this, I realize it’s true. Please keep coming back.

  5. An ambitious and a fascinating project this! Good luck, TCP :)

    • Thanks :-) Ambitious it surely is..time will tell if I have bitten off more than I can chew :-)

  6. Good going!

  7. All the best! May the creative juices flow!

  8. Novel concept, immaculate execution. Great Going TCP. Looking forward for more from your stable.

    • it was fun trying to imagine what happened … to get it on paper was tougher than i thought, but here we are :) thanks.. thinking up more stuff as we speak.

  9. This is absolutely marvellous! I can’t imagine somebody using comics so effectively! I can totally relate to what you just stated above -”an effort to try and present to the next generation, why my generation behaved the way it did, to help them see the events that shaped our thoughts.” Being a woman, people have always questioned my love for the game. But I know where it comes from! Its my birth year-1983! and also growing up I could see my parents ardently following the game and discussing it!!:) So I was totally floored to see those historic moments in such a neat way! Kudos to you! and all the best for your project of this!

  10. Bah… I thought this was something about a new version of TCP/IP!

Oh well, I guess I could use a few laughs.

  11. My dear TCP (do not know your name )
What you have conceptualized is awesome! I have tried to find the Haryana Hurricane Kapildev’s 175 not out after 17/5 for many many years but in vain. I was in class 10 and still remember the radio commentary I listened to. Your comic is the best thing I will cherish now and will spread the word to my like-minded friends too to visit your site. Just thinking of that match 28 years back gives me the goose-pimples all over. In a way, that match was more tense than the final itself. So it was very sad to see the Haryana Hurricane missing from yesterday’s jubilation. Our generation can never ever forget him. He will live in our hearts forever.
