  1. I rem about this match ! Not during the time but after a while :) I was just 1 when the whole drama happend and never knew that this was never tele-casted .Anyways good one :) And keep up the good work.

    • :) I think I was around 10 :-)
Thanks and please keep coming back

  2. I was only 8, cannot read newspaper reports well, but brother will tell the story. He was a big Kapil fans and Gav hater. I could imagine how 175* was impossible after so many wickets. I do remember seeing the scorecard. That is the one match I remember hearing about. Actualy speacking ODIs were not big deals then, because of India’s lack of wins till that point, My bro showed the pre series report in Hindu will all pictures and said India has no chance but will follow this. He use to keep newspaper cutting and collect them. Which was a nice for me to watch and hear about, In those days much less entertainment.

    • @kumar: you are lucky to have a brother who told you stories and in those days, kapil fans usually didn’t like gavaskar and probably vice versa. Would be awesome if you still have those reports and can share them. I don’t know how, but would love other readers to see such clippings for a better experience. Thanks :)

  3. Well..I was not born when this happened but its as great as could be to know how it happened!

    • @keepmahakposted :) Just some imagination to work. I hope, some day, this can be turned into something more real than it is now. Thanks :)

  4. Not born.. :p

  5. OMG this is freaking awesome!!! always read about this one.. now in visuals :)

    • Thanks @unitechy (same person na?) Hoping to go beyond cricket if I can pull it off.. .more unseen stories

  6. I was never a great cricket fan during my school days. Only got hooked to it from College, and that was when I first heard about the heroics of Kapil on the very match, which never saw daylight.

Now, so happy to have a glimpse of that battle on TGICP. Thanks TCP.

    • @comicilogy: thanks man…

  7. I was born in August,1983 so wasn’t even there to witness but got to hear Kapil Dev’s heroics from my Dad! His eyes used to light up when he used to talk about this game as he had watched the entire World cup on TV and guess what he distributed sweets to his staff and entire mohalla!! :) :) n that’s how I got hooked to the game for my entire life! Great work!
